Hello again!! This origami crane was made out of a flyer to go to a local pizza place to support band/color guard!! But more importantly it’s the place where my friend is also having her birthday dinner!! Well she’s in band so it really does make sense haha My dear miss Emily I sincerely hope you have a wonderful birthday.. and a wonderful life.. yepp that too <3 six down and only 994 to go!

I made these yesterday and was going to post it yesterday.. but alas the computer was in the other room and well, sleep was a beckoning creature ;) My very wonderful friend Anna chose this paper and I made two to symbolize our friendship. I used the same paper to show two very like-minded people :) Anna if you ever read this I want to thank you for helping me find my voice when I didn’t believe I even had a reason to sing <3 Much appreciated haha ;p 5 down and only 995 to go!

Ta Da! The very first paper crane. It isn’t the best, it isn’t the worst, but there it is. 1 down and only 999 more to go!! Haha, the paper I used was very kindly given to me by a church leader who actually inspired me to make this blog. I was asked to teach some of the young women how to make origami flowers. And let’s just say that I am just as much an origami master as an origami teacher… I am definitely not an origami master!!

An Origami Blog?
I know, I know.. Sounds boring as heck! And to those of you who are reading this, I’m guessing you know me because there is no other way for you to have found this quaint little blog at the end of the internet ;) But I promise I will try to make this blog interesting and hopefully at least amusing in some way. My goal is to complete the 1,000 origami crane legend and recieve the wish you get after completion. What I’m wishing for? I have absolutely no idea. I certainly have enough time to figure it out! 1,000 paper cranes is probably going to take some time.. I’m thinking that instead of posting picture, after picture of origami cranes that I will try to add a little more than that. I’ll tell you a little bit about what happened that day, and maybe I’ll have some dear friends of mine help me out, and they can share with you their origami experience!
Well, the first paper crane awaits! ttfn- mckenna
